About the event
The "great Fifty Days" of Eastertide comes to a close with the Feast of Pentecost this Sunday. It's traditional to wear red! Pentecost is sometimes called "the birthday of the Church," when the Holy Spirit came to the apostles, gathered with Mary, Christ's mother, in Jerusalem and gave them the gift of speaking so that everyone could hear the good news of the Gospel.
